Aliens: Colonial Marines, the long-awaited sci-fi shooter from Gearbox and SEGA, is almost here. Following the trend of other shooters, this one already has a season pass. Read along for details. According to the press release, gamers who purchase the season pass will get all four upcoming DLC packs. They will feature both single-player and multiplayer content. The first one, scheduled to hit in March, will feature a new multiplayer mode known as “Bug Hunt” mode. From the description, it will be a Horde-style cooperative mode where players fight off waves of enemies in three all new maps based on environments from the films.
The rest of the content doesn’t have a set release date yet, but all three are expected to arrive by August 2013. The Season Pass will cost $29.99, or 2400 Microsoft Points, which SEGA claims is a total savings of 40%. We don’t have anything to tell you about the three other content packs, but if this first one is any indication, Aliens fans will have a lot of shooting to look forward to.
Aliens: Colonial Marines finally releases for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC February 12 of this year. Wii U owners can look forward to the game, but no release date or DLC plans have been announced for the platform.
