In a recently discovered patent filed by Apple, details of the company’s plan to incorporate 3D to their Safari browser were unveiled. The document shows that users will be able to interact with the browser in a 3D user interface, with the ability to stack bookmarks, emails, documents, and applications.
Deviating from the need to wear 3D glasses, the actual browser will be a 3D environment. The caveat to all this is that it’s merely a patent and may never hit the consumer market, but it’s interesting to see where Apple’s desires lay.
