BioShock Infinite Set To Soar October 16th

It has been a long wait for the proper follow up to BioShock, but today we learned that wait is almost over.

2K Games and Irrational Games have announced that BioShock Infinite will be available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on October 16th.

“After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition,” said Ken Levine (@iglevine), Creative Director of Irrational Games (@irrationalgames). “BioShock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on it.”

While BioShock received a proper sequel, BioShock Infinite is the latest title in the franchise from the original’s developers. In addition, the game won over 70 awards at E3 2011, so it’s safe to say that this is one everyone is looking forward to.
