Drunk dialing problems? There's an app for that!

Stung by years of alcohol-influenced texts and phone calls to everyone in his phone book, Joe “Joey G” Giuliano decided to do something about it.

“Joey G,” a comedian, spent his entire life savings developing a new iPhone app to discourage drunk users from texting or calling their friends.

“I’m the worst drunk-dialer/drunk-texter there is,” said the comic.  “I called my mom one time (late at night), thinking it was my friend Molly… my mom thought I loved her way too much.”

The “Should I Dial” application tests a user’s hand-eye coordination as well as his or her mental focus.  It then gives an entertaining diagnosis if phone use is recommended.

The application can be bought in the Apple online store for $1.99.  And even though he gets just a small cut of each sale, Joe is hoping to turn a profit on the game.

And he may be performing a public service too.

“Everyone has a drunk dialing story,” he said.  “I’m trying to save relationships!”

You can buy “Should I Dial?” here, or get more information on the app at www.ShouldIDial.com.  “Joey G” can be seen performing at Visani’s Comedy Zone in Port Charlotte.
