Xbox 360 Cloud Storage Size Revealed

With the recent start of the beta for the Xbox 360’s newest dashboard update we’ve started to get glimpses of Microsoft’s new ‘metro’ design. Apart from aesthetical changes and increased Kinect functionality we’re also getting to finally see some of the changes promised at this years E3.

One of the most noticeable promises came in the form of the new ‘Cloud Storage’ policy, this offers gamers the opportunity to store important data in the virtual ‘cloud’ instead of on there hard drive. This proposed changed means we could see the end of lengthy account recoveries when signing on a different console. Until now the personal size of the ‘cloud storage’ has been unknown, but it’s been revealed today that users will get 512mb of space.

This doesn’t sound like much but it will be more than enough to store account data for Xbox switching or keep that all important Skyrim game data safe. The most important fact about this is that it’s much larger than the 150mb of storage offered to Playstation plus members.

This is only a small reveal but certainly one that’s going to make a lot of Xbox users happy.
