Ubisoft Unveils Drawsome Tablet for the Wii

Set to be released on December 6, 2011, is a new peripheral by Ubisoft that allows for you to show off your artistic abilities to your friends and family. The Drawsome Tablet will be available exclusively in the United States.

The tablet will feature a 6.5 x 5-inch screen that allows for unrestricted drawing movements and will also feature an innovative transparent layer that will allow you trace some of your favorite images and drawings. The Drawsome Tablet includes a wireless stylus, keeping the player as unrestricted as possible. Everything drawn will be displayed in real-time on you TV and you’ll be able to save your pictures on an SD card to show your drawings to friends and family.

“Ubisoft is always looking for new ways to marry quality family time with a quality gaming experience. With the Drawsome Tablet, Ubisoft is bringing to the market a peripheral that will allow families to sit down together and create their own unique works of art while participating in fun, creative adventures.” – Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft North America.

Packed with the tablet peripheral will be two games: Drawsome Artist and Drawsome Sketch Quest. Both of these games will be family-friendly, but also challenge you as you embark on interactive adventures.

In Drawsome Artist, players will be able to draw, paint, and color by drawing freely or by learning advanced art techniques step-by-step. The game will also feature interactive characters from the Smurfs, the famous animated cartoon (and movie, but we won’t go there), and you’ll even learn how to draw them.

Also included is Drawsome Sketch Quest, in which players will embark on an adventure to help a variety of animals race through their world by drawing bridges, trampolines, and more. The game will feature 40 characters and 80 levels, which will amount of hours of fun for the whole family.
