This Week In Games: What Halloween Hangover?

Halloween is officially over, so it’s time to start enjoying those treats. Chances are you’re coming home from a midnight release (if you’re on the East Coast) or possibly preparing for one elsewhere in the country. Here’s what you’ve picked up/could be picking up tonight as we take a look at this week’s featured games.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception (PS3) It’s the PlayStation 3’s turn to release the third chapter in their exclusive trilogy as we prepare for the next journey of Nathan Drake’s adventure, which has been met with rave reviews.

Lord of the Rings: War in the North (Xbox 360, PS3) Want to spend some time in Middle-Earth that Peter Jackson didn’t take us to? Looking for some co-op RPG goodness before Skyrim hits? Here’s your fix as EA gives us the latest release in the Lord of the Rings franchise. If it’s anything like Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, count me in.

Sonic Generations (Xbox 360, PS3) Sega’s yearly Sonic release and chance at redemption of lost glory. This one has a chance, though, thanks to the obvious homage of the Sonic we remember on the Genesis, since he’s actually in the game. Fingers crossed..

Goldeneye 007: Reloaded (Xbox 360, PS3) Take last year’s Wii release, improve the graphics, add in-depth online play, and you’ll get Goldeneye 007: Reloaded. It does have an all new mode called Mi6 Ops, which throws players into various objective based missions, so there’s also that going for it. It’s still not Goldeneye Source, but it will have to hold us over until it finally releases.
