Cities XL, for the uninitiated, is a streamlined version of the city-building concept, popularized by games such as SimCity. Previous versions of the franchise have been mostly well received, with common criticisms being the lack of content. Cities XL 2012 is doing everything it can to remedy that, with 300 new buildings, one thousand different structures, and 60 large maps. The game will also be open to modding as soon as it’s released, even giving players modding tools so almost anyone can create and share with the world. The guys over at Focus Home Interactive were kind enough to give us 19 screenshots showing off some of the new environments and structures in the game.
