It’s hard to believe that Aion, NCSoft’s winged MMO, has already been around for two years. It’s wildly popular in Asia, but hasn’t caught that same spark stateside.
Nevertheless, the game has obviously found its niche and is preparing to celebrate its two years of existence with in-game events for current players, as well as the promise of new activities for players reactivating their subscriptions, including incentives such as double XP and double item drop rates.
In the near future, players can expect the new PVP update, patch 2.7, to hit the Public Test Server on October 13th and live realms just six days later on October 19th.
NCSoft promises that players will need to bring their A-game with the latest update, introducing two new PVP arenas. The Arena of Discipline will allow for one-on-one deathmatch battles, while the second, Arena of Chaos will be a free-for-all affair.
For those who fancy boss killing, there will be a 48-person instanced boss fight inside Padmarashka’s Cave to encounter.
