When I started this thirty day segment the game Little Nemo The Dream Master was mentioned on my Facebook page. This is a game that came out in 1990 for the NES and was based on a Japanese animated feature called Little Nemo in Sumberland. Let me pause right here and point out that a video game based off of a movie was good, this is a rarity.
I owned this game when I was younger but circumstances caused me to no longer own this game until two weeks ago. I was lucky enough to find a copy of Little Nemo at a Play N Trade store and this game is currently my favorite classic game.
The story is simple as a young boy travels to Sumberland within his dreams when the princess summons him to play with her however it soon turns out to be a rescue mission as the king of Sumberland, Morpheus has been taken by the Nightmare King. Nemo travels in on his bed and can control animals like a mole or a frog to help him on his journey. Each animal is instrumental in beating a level as you collect keys but you have to feed them candy or they might attack you.
Nemo was brought about by Capcom and is a great classic game that looks like a kid’s game but the difficulty of it says otherwise. It can be frustrating at times but overall worth it.
