TEKKEN is a series known for its many fun and crazy mini-games, one of the most notorious is TEKKEN Bowl. The new DLC for TEKKEN 7, Ultimate TEKKEN Bowl is scheduled to be released in August. The announcement video can be seen below where series director, Katsuhiro Harada welcomes it back, clad in a Bullet Club tee!
TEKKEN Bowling first popped up in the series all the way back in 2000’s TEKKEN Tag Tournament and hasn’t appeared on consoles since 2005’s TEKKEN 5: Dark Resurrection.
Outside of the the bowling the DLC will most likely include an additional 50 costume updates but little else. For a paid DLC this will rub some fans the wrong way as it seems pretty light on content since it is just a mini-game and a few new costume changes rather than anything major to the main game. Although it is a fun and silly mini-game, with only 3 scheduled DLCs coming for TEKKEN 7, this will seem like a waste of a DLC for hardcore TEKKEN fans.
A second DLC is scheduled to be released in the 4th quarter of 2017 with the final DLC landing in spring 2018. Each of these TEKKEN 7 DLCs will include an exclusive playable guest character from another video game franchise and a stage for the new character.
