Just when I thought Bane’s signature back-breaker was hard enough to watch, Swamp Thing made his way into the Injustice 2 universe with a brand new reveal trailer.
A new gameplay trailer revealing Swamp Thing as the newest playable character in Injustice 2 shows off a slow-moving brute with incredible range for decimating his foes. Via IGN First, you can get a look at intro dialogue with Atrocitus and Robin, as well as an incredibly diverse move set all rounded off with a crippling ultimate move.
Swamp Thing is the newest reveal in the coming of weeks, previously showing off Black Canary,among others.
No additional character bio is available on the official Injustice website but be on the lookout to get a small glimpse into where Swamp Thing will fit in the Injustice universe.
As of the now the complete roster for the game stands as follows:
Batman, Braniac, Blue Beetle, Bane, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Superman, Supergirl, The Flash, Robin, Swamp Thing, Poison Ivy, Gorilla Grodd, Red Lantern Atrocitus, and Black Canary (Darkseid if you pre-order).
Fans of the series believe that this concludes the soon to be announced arrival of Constantine, a fan favorite who uses black magic and has quite a bit of history with Swamp Thing. While nothing’s been announced, creative director at NetherRealm Studios Ed Boon has been very vocal about including new heroes and villains not well known and listening to fans of the series.
Injustice 2 is slated to release on May 16th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Multiple editions of the game hold various bonuses for players looking at their chance to play with different shaders and skins that allow you to transform fighters into alternate characters.
