Gravity Rush 2 Continues to Look Dazzling as New Screenshots Surface, New Details Revealed

I got to play a bit of Gravity Rush 2 (look for that preview soon) and I remember being enchanted by just the pause menu, this game is bursting at the seams with style and grace and it wouldn’t surprise me if the jump from the first game mirrors what Assassin’s Creed 2 did.  These newly released screens showcase new locales and enemies and it really shows how expansive the world of Gravity Rush 2 is.

Alongside the new screenshots, we also learned that you won’t be fighting just the Nevi and scarabs, Kat and Raven will go toe to toe with city-sized enemies which is a huge step forward from the first game which at times felt repetitive and the stakes didn’t feel as high. At some point in Gravity Rush 2, Kat and Raven will face a ghost city, yes a ghost city, that swallows entire buildings to then use as limbs.

We also learn about Hekeseville which is the town Kat is originally from and where the first game started so it seems there will be some sort of homecoming for our favorite gravity-defying heroine and her cosmic cat but things seem to have changed. We can’t wait to return and see what’s happening. We know Kat is quite the environmentalist and humanitarian, heck at times Gravity Rush felt like Kat was just doing community service around town. But we still love her and despite the game’s unfortunate delay we are still hyped as ever.

Gravity Rush 2 is falling onto store shelves on January 18th 2017 exclusively on PS4.
