War for the Planet of the Apes Continues Caesar’s Journey
The third chapter of the series takes the form of a sequel. It continues the narrative of fight and survival that we saw in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes one step beyond. In other words, it won’t go suave on us – like, literally.
As per press release, we know that Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer severe casualties, Caesar undergoes an internal journey, his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the struggle continues, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in a final, epic battle. The fate of both species and the future of the planet is at stake and the scales are tipping into chaos. Who will be the final winner and at what cost?
There’s still a lot of teasing surrounding the next installment in this franchise and we’ll surely see more trailers as the months come. War for the Planet of the Apes will not arrive until July 24, 2017.
Are you as hyped as us to see the apes in action?
