Earlier today, PlayStation Europe tweeted that From Software’s Bloodborne will need an extra month of polish and preparation and unfortunately won’t be able to hit the February 6th street date. Bloodborne will now release on March 24 2014 in the US and March 27 in the UK. This is a huge downer for fans who were expecting to play it in a mere 3 months but in actuality, this is a great move for both the gamers and the game’s success.
February 2015 is absolutely crowded with big games such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and PS4 exclusive The Order: 1886; two weeks would have separated the release of Bloodborne and The Order. There is barely any room to breathe in February so Bloodborne will have a chance to own late-March and stretch its dark, foreboding legs.
The game’s producer, Masaaki Yamagiwa, teased that we should expect some juicy and exciting news in early December. Until then, we have Dragon Age: Inquisition and Far Cry 4 to keep us busy.
