Watch Dogs, the highly acclaimed hack-action adventure game developed by Ubisoft for Microsoft and Sony, was announced to have made its route toward Nintendo’s Wii U console today.
The story of Aiden Pierce and his opposition or use of Chicago’s Central Operating System has been given the green light to appear on Nintendo’s Wii U, a console said to appease both hardcore and casual audiences. Watch Dogs sold 4 million copies during the first week of it’s release and gained some exceptionally high praise for it’s story, presentation and game mechanics. Nintendo is surely looking for the game to pull some weight in increasing console sales.
Watch Dogs for the Wii U was led by Ubisoft Bucharest, who made sure that the integration between the game and the hardware’s off-tv gamepad are cohesive and operational. Throughout the game, players will get an overhead map of Chicago displayed on the gamepad screen and obviously will have the option to venture away from the TV screen to continue their journey in unlocking Pierce’s past on the Wii U gamepad.
Watch Dogs touches down on Nintendo Wii U on Nov. 18. The Wii U version of the game lands in Europe on Nov. 21.
