Blizzard has announced a new balance patch for Hearthstone. They are expected to be released later this week.
The latest set of changes are as follows
- Unleash the Hounds: mana cost is now 2, down from 4.
- Sylvanas Windrunner: mana is now 6, up from 5.
- Blood Imp is now a 0/1 with stealth and gives friendly minion +0/+1 at end of turn.
- Defender of Argus is now a 2/3, down from 3/3.
- Pyroblast: mana cost is now 10, up from 8.
- Dark Iron Dwarf: +2 Attack buff only lasts until end of turn instead of being permanent.
- Abusive Sergeant: now reads “Battlecry: Give a minion +2 attack until end of turn.”
- Warsong Commander: reworked, now reads “Whenever you play a minion with 3 or less Attack, give it Charge.
- Charge (spell): Now gives a friendly minion +2 Attack and Charge.
- Novice Engineer is now a 1/1, down from 1/2.
The long-awaited Pyroblast nerf has finally come, pleasing everyone who is tired of playing against Mages. The spell is still devastating late game, but its higher mana cost will delay its arrival on the battlefield. The card changes seem quite intriguing. Many immediately cry foul over the Novice Engineer change, but its health nerf brings it down to a level playing field with similar cards. A level playing field can also be used to describe Dark Iron Dwarf and Abusive Sergeant. The two Battlecry effects are now the same thing. One card just has better attack and health than the other.
Look for all of these changes to go live later this week.
