Press Start | This is What We Played

Hello fanatics and welcome to another Press Start! Time to jump into what we here at The Game Fanatics have been playing during this past week.

Joel:

Thanks to PlayStation Plus I downloaded Rayman Origins on my Vita for free. I had no idea how fun this platformer would be, it is definitely worth a shot if you haven’t played it. I have been leveling my Elementalist on Guild Wars 2 and running through some dungeons which require some great strategy and a good group of players.

Jake:

Elder Scrolls Anthology is still staring at me, begging to be installed onto my computer. Sadly, I can’t do it just yet. I’m still trucking through Grand Theft Auto V, digging through SimCity for old time’s sake, and preparing for the release of Pokemon X and Y.

Jeff:

I’ve been playing Rayman Origins on my Vita, and returning to the PS3 with Resident Evil 6. One is an amazing platformer with incredible art and stage design, and the other is a hilarious mess of an action game. I recommend both.

Jen:

I didn’t play as much Madden 25 has I wanted to this week. I wanted to try to get one game in each day but that didn’t happen. Most of my time was taken over by Grand Theft Auto V and SWTOR. I did managed to squeeze in a little bit of DDR as well.

Ben:

Finished up Shadow Man. That game is still really good and can remain as one of my all-time favorites. After that I needed something to play so I went back to Dark Souls. Seriously people, go play Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls if you haven’t yet. You think Skyrim is good? Wait until you play a game that actually has good combat, magic, enemy variety, weapon variety, bosses, story, and basically everything else. I’m not even exaggerating. *hops off soapbox* Seriously.

Arnell:

I just beat The Wonderful 101 (Wii U). I honestly didn’t like The Wonderful 101 at first. I was wary from the demo, but still decided to buy it. It took a while before I really got into it. I’m glad I stuck with it because the game is quite enjoyable. I don’t believe it’s the system seller it was hyped to be. But it is a new IP that is good game from a great studio. I do recommend it though.
