Outlast, perhaps the scariest game I’ve seen in over a decade, is set to release on Steam on September 4th for $19.99.
The game that aims to “trap players in the uncomfortable place between fear and intrigue” will also come to the PlayStation 4 some time in early 2014.
In Outlast you play the role of a reporter, armed with only a video camera and legs to run who investigates an abandoned insane asylum and prison –which is obviously the smartest thing to do, ever.
Lights randomly shutting off, dead bodies reanimating, and seeing the unknown scurry out of the corner of your eye are just a few old tricks that are executed perfectly and make you genuinely debate wearing a diaper when playing Outlast.
There’s no price nor date set for the PS4 version of Outlast just yet, but we’ll keep you updated. Check out the official trailer below and let us know if you’re excited!
