5 Changes We’re Glad To See in Destiny 2 | Fanatical Five

Destiny 2 Reveal

After Bungie revealed its Destiny 2 worldwide reveal gameplay trailer last week, Guardians around the world were given tons of info regarding how their latest sci-fi shoot and loot sets itself apart from its predecessor. We got to spend some quality wime with Destiny 2, you can read our hands-on preview here. With so much information to debrief, the fanatics have narrowed it down to our 5 favorite changes we’re excited for in Destiny 2.

Emphasis on Cinematic Campaign

Where the original Destiny lost me was the lack of emphasis in story content. Bungie had successfully established this universe where true fans can get lost in but to the average player who didn’t want to go online to read into backstory? They were left confused. With Destiny 2 on the horizon, game director Luke Smith promised fans that they were going to create a campaign revolving around a “world that pulls you in”. Rather than fighting against a name briefly introduced, we are given Primus Dominus Ghal, a warlord who believes The Traveler made the wrong choice in empowering humanity and that he deserves the power of the Guardians.

Destiny 2

As our powers are stripped away, we will get to learn about recovery, exploring our true connection with the Traveler as he is so quickly taken from us. The promise of characters you can connect with, enemies you want to face and experiences that lead to an impulsive nature of exploration has me itching to see what lies in store for the rest of Destiny 2‘s tale of loss and redemption.
