Depending on what type of fan you are, you’re either picking up the 3DS Circle Pad attachment day 1 or you’re cursing its very existence. Whether you exalt it or detest it, now you have something to call it.
A recent document shows that the official name for the Circle Pad is “Circle Pad Pro.” We’ve known what the boxart looks like for some time now, but this is apparently the name for the Western version. In the East hemisphere, it is still “slide pad expansion”
Capcom has said that the attachment will be available in time for Resident Evil: Revelations, which is scheduled to release early next year. Whether or not that is when it will be out is another question entirely, but we won’t have to wait very long to start seeing the Circle Pad Pro on our store shelves.
