Halo: The Master Chief Collection; New Trailer and Gameplay Footage from RTX

The RTX convention brought some new trailers and gameplay footage of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The new cinematic ‘Terminal’ trailer was filled with a voice over of fan-favorite Arbiter.

I have had many names in this long war. The humans knew me as The Destroyer. To the Covenant, I was Supreme Commander. The Prophets named me Arbiter. And your Master Chief calls me friend. How well do you know your friend, human? And what will you call me when you learn the truth of what I have done?

Could this be a hint at what’s going to occur in Halo 5? It seems that we may see Arbiter in Halo 5 and from the quote, could he have had anything to do with the ending of Halo 4? This is all speculation, but it will be interesting to see the details unfold in the months leading up the The Master Chief Collection.

New gameplay footage was also shown of Ascension from Halo Anniversary. This was similar to what was shown at E3 last month. However, this new footage showed a new feature in the “re-imagined” map. You can now press a button in three areas of the map that will then cause a energy shield to appear in the center of the map.

This is the type of stuff we are doing across all of the maps, even though we haven’t announced what the maps are yet. But you can expect to see this type of stuff.

You can check out the entire gameplay footage of Ascension from RTX here..

We can certainly expect new information and footage as we get closer to the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection in November.
