It has been confirmed by Square Enix that the Director’s Cut of Deux Ex: Human Revolution will be released exclusively on the Wii U.
Though no release date has been confirmed, a listing on Amazon suggests that it will be released in North America on May 7, 2013. The listing described the game as follows: “Tap into the Wii U’s GamePad true potential: Adam Jensen’s newest augmentation, the Neural Hub, offers an immersive and empowering experience, right at the tips of your fingers.” It also states that this version of the game will enjoy a “multitude of improvements, features and additional content.”
It is speculated that a possible developer of the game may be Straight Right, as they were the studio that was responsible for porting Mass Effect 3 to the Wii U.
It is said the Director’s Cut will make use of the GamePad for touch-screen hacking, map editing, augmented sniping, grenade throw backs and other neural hub enhancements. Tong’s Rescue mission and the Missing Link chapter will be included in the Wii U exclusive, along with tweaks to the game that will improve the overall package.
Square Enix has not yet commented on the speculations of Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut.
