Borderlands 2 Pirate DLC Is Real – Captain Scarlett DLC Lands October 16th

Yesterday we ran a story suggesting that Borderlands 2 will soon be receiving some pirated themed DLC. Today, Gearbox has confirmed this to be true.

Captain Scarlett and her Pirate Booty will be available starting October 16th for $9.99. Should you have a Season Pass, then the DLC will be free of charge.

So what exactly will make this new content worth your while? Other than the features we ran down previously, such as new bosses, new raids, and more guns, we’ve got an all new zone to discover! Described as “more like Tatooine than an ocean” according to Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford, the slums of Oasis will be the locale we’ll be exploring as we attempt to blunder some booty.

For those that don’t realize, October 16th is a mere five days away, so your wait for new baddies to shoot in Pandora won’t be long. Pending some unforeseen complication, Captain Scarlett’s DLC will be available on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
