‬All-Star Fruit Racing Now On Steam Early Access

Indie developer 3Dclouds has released their unique kart racer on Steam Early Access: All-Star Fruit Racing.

This new take on the genre that Mario Kart defined puts players behind the wheel of a kart in the midst of a fruit filled fiesta where they use various unique power ups to cause a bit of chaos with a flair of strategy.

All-Star Fruit Racing gives players the opportunity to fully customize their character both in terms of look and feel. Each kart, dubbed Juicer, features four separate tanks to be filled with fruits picked up on during the races. Filling up the tanks allows players to both combine moves and unlock a unique Mega Juice power-up.

This new racer includes single-player and multiplayer modes (with local split screen with up to four players). Online multiplayer capabilities will be available later this Fall. Players can choose among a whopping 22 racers; 11 of which are available from the get-go and the others are unlockable. Early Access puts two modes at the disposal of players: Juicer mode and Classic mode. Developer 3Dclouds plans on adding Dragster, Elimination, and Elimination Mix later during the Early Access process.

All-Star Fruit Racing features 21 tracks spread across five distinct islands for players to race around on. The first two islands, Winter and Summer, are available from the start. Two more can be unlocked by playing the game and the final island is currently slated for a release later this year.

As an Early Access title, the game will only kick off with Easy mode usable across different race types (Custom Race, Career, Fast Championship, Custom Championship and Time Attack) with more difficult levels to be added as soon as possible.

Here’s what Francesco Bruschi, CEO and Founder of 3Dclouds had to say:

“The Juicer is just one way we’ve looked to bring something different to the karting genre. There have been some huge kart games over the decades, but there’s no point in following someone else’s path. All-Star Fruit Racing is designed to offer something different, and its run on Early Access should give us the feedback we need to make it an even better game.”
