Steam Summer Sale 2013 | The Aftermath

It’s obvious we love games here. Heck, it’s in our name. That’s why events like the Steam Summer Sale are both a blessing and a curse. You see, with some great games so cheap, we just can’t help ourselves, and then our credit cards jump right out of our wallets, into our hands, and the next thing you know we’ve just bought 20 PC games, maybe 6 of which we’ll actually get around to playing before the next sale.

Here’s a breakdown of what we bought between July 11th and 22nd, during this year’s Steam Summer Sale, as well as from other sites also having insane gaming deals at the same time:

Darrin

Yeah, I know I can be a bit tough on PC gaming, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like a good deal. I picked up Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, The Witcher 2, Rogue Legacy, Fez, Alan Wake, Tomb Raider, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition. Also got Deadpool (won an online contest) and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (via GamersGate).

Greg

Dishonored, Rogue Legacy, Fez, Bleed, Dragonborn (Skyrim DLC), Gunpoint, Dust, Max Payne 3, System Shock 2, Dungeon Siege 3. Also some DLC for Tomb Raider and Sleeping Dogs, and Mass Effect Trilogy ($20) and Kingdoms of Amalur Complete ($7) from Gamersgate.

Charles

I got that dual monitor app (Display Fusion), Skyrim, and Dishonored.

Ben

Legend of Grimrock, Antichamber, Surgeon Simulator, System Shock 2, Spec Ops The Line, Dust: An Elysian Tail, Organ Trail, DmC: Devil May Cry: Vergil’s Downfall (DLC), The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2, Rogue Legacy. I think that is it. Had to look through way too many emails.

Jake

Civ 5: Brave New World, Endless Space, Amnesia, System Shock 2, Mark of the Ninja, and Super Meat Boy.

So it seems that we all got a BUNCH of new stuff to play with… and it also seems like GamersGate is starting to make a name for itself among us as well. Feel free to sound off in the comments with what you picked up, and don’t forget to join our Steam Community Group!
