Razer is throwing their Hat in the Virtual Reality Ring

OSVR HDK 2 is Razer’s latest virtual reality headset. What is OSVR you might ask? OSVR is a universal open source VR system for technologies across different brands and companies. Giving you the freedom to combine different brands of HMDs and Controllers to experience VR the way you want to. The difference between HDK1 and HDK2 is the improved display module. In the earlier version of the headset the display specs are OLED 5.5” Full HD with a pixel density of 401 PPI at 60 FPS. While in the HDK2 headset it is greatly improved with dual display of 2160×1200 low persistence OLED silver screen with 441 PPI running at 90 fps.

The next comparison between the two models is the price tag, while the first model hits you in the pocket at $479.95. The new improved model makes you dig deeper at $649.95

So a price difference of $170 for an improved display module, yet the presentation and everything else stays the same? That display model must be absolutely fantastic, eye blowing awesomeness.

Razer has a Special Promotion for the OSVR HDK2 featuring 2 free games with your purchase and free shipping until October 10th

– Descent: Underground

– Radical G: Racing Revolved
