PS4 and Xbox One Pre-Orders Running Out

If you’ve already pre-ordered your PS4 or Xbox One, chances are that I hate you. You’re probably that person that wakes up at the crack of dawn to go jogging, saves buses full of nuns and does productive things with his or her life.

Just kidding, because you’re a gamer.

This week GameStop has stopped taking pre-orders for the PS4, Xbox One pre-orders have sold out at Best Buy and Amazon has sold out of both. Amazing. While this inevitable obstacle was forming, I’ve been sitting on my lazy rear and hoping and praying that I can find a 12-year old that’s not bigger than me to mug at the launch.

Sure, Amazon US has stated that there will be more Standard Editions for both consoles, just the likelihood of receiving them release day is slim at best.

While you still can, go and buy your next-gen console of choice because the longer you wait, the more time the pre-teen populace has to practice Call of Duty: Ghosts and think they’re better than you.

They’re probably right.

“Where can I still do that?” I hear you say? There’s still hope at Wal-Mart and Target, but with three major distributors already selling out –and in the same week– it looks as if the number of available units won’t last much longer. Amazon alone had as many as 2,500 next-gen console purchases per minute, so it’s easy to see how the well ran dry so quickly.
