New Trailer Introduces Baiken To Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2

With Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 just around the corner, Arc System Works has released a new trailer spotlighting one of the new characters set to debut in this revised edition of 2014’s Guilty Gear Xrd.

While a long time favorite of the fighting franchise, Baiken will be playable for the first time in Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2. Baiken is a Samurai with a brash and impulsive attitude hellbent on taking revenge against Gears. She wanders aimlessly across the world looking for That Man; the one she believes is responsible for the death of her family and leaving her crippled.

The last Samurai might only have one arm left, but don’t let that fool you. Thanks to the skills she developed with her katana and unique fighting style, she can stand toe to toe with anyone in the Guilty Gear roster. Her arsenal of “Demon Tools” include a mace, cannon, bladed fan, hook, claw and a spear.

On top of this threatening arsenal, Baiken also harnesses the power of her new projectile: the Suzuran Yashagatana. This new attack fires rockets along the ground. With her vast array of devastating attacks, the Samurai is more of an offensive fighter with limited defensive skills. Her main defense approach is the Azami stance which can counter attacks on ground and in the air.

Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 will be available this Friday, May 26th, for PS4 and PS3. Players who currently own Guilty Gear Xrd can grab the additional content for $19,99 digitally or a retail version for $39,99. If you have yet to dabble into the Guilty Gear universe, PS+ users can grab a free demo on PSN.
