Is The First Descendant The Next Big Looter Shooter

The First Descendant is a free-to-play, third-person shooter by South Korean developer Nexon. The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and based on this most recent teaser trailer, it looks pretty good visually. If you’ve played games like Destiny, Outriders, and even Anthem, then you will be familiar with the base gameplay loop.

Many may be a little weary regarding the looter shooter genre. Outriders is not a bad game but it left many wanting more. Anthem promised a lot but missed when it came to content and end-game activities. Even Destiny has left a sour taste in the mouth of many. Will the fact that ‘The First Decendant’ is free to play, work in its favor? There is still a lot to learn about the title. Until then, you can sign up for the PC beta HERE and check out the latest teaser trailer below.
