Guardians, Get Ready! Destiny 2 Beta Details Announced

Destiny 2 Beta

Destiny 2, the follow up to the flawed but successful original game from Bungie, is less than two months away. Bungie has shared some news on the Destiny 2 beta that will be coming to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next month.

The Destiny 2 beta will begin on July 21st and end on July 23rd, with early access starting on July 18th on PlayStation 4 and the 19th for Xbox One. The beta will provide access to the first mission of the game, Homecoming (shout out to Spidey!). Additionally both Countdown and Control modes will be made available. Progress will not carry over to the full game, however, those participating will receive an exclusive emblem.

With all this console talk I am sure there is a lot of PC players wondering about what is happening on that front. According to Bungie there will be a beta available on PC, although it will not be available until sometime in August. With the PC release coming a month after the console release this seems to be about right to run stress tests.

Destiny 2 launches on September 6th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version will release a month later on October 24th. You can pre-order the game now to get access to the beta when it goes live!
