Batarians are Arriving to Mass Effect Andromeda’s Multiplayer

Do you remember the Batarians, that amicable race who could not swallow their human neighbors? (Or anyone else in the galaxy, for that matter…) Well, Bioware has just confirmed that we’re having more of them in Mass Effect Andromeda‘s multiplayer.

The announcement happened two days ago on Mass Effect’s Twitter page. The concise video also revealed a new Platinum difficulty level in Apex Multiplayer.

Mass Effect Andromeda: Future Unknown

What’s surprising is that Batarians were not mentioned at all during the single-player campaign. From what we can gather, they actually did not not cruise around to the Andromeda galaxy along with the rest. Therefore, it will be interesting to see what Bioware comes up with as an explanation and how they integrate their presence within their canon. Gameplay wise we can expect some real badass action. Batarians were never good at making friends, granted, but surely they were hard nuts to crack.

The announcement comes amidst some rumors that pinpoint in the direction of Bioware not releasing a single-player DLC for Andromeda. We know that Bioware Montreal, the main development studio, has been restructuring as of lately. Moreover, the future of the franchise seems to be on hiatus. It’s still unclear whether they will push content on top of these new multiplayer bits. But chances are slim, all things considered.

What’s your opinion on the Mass Effect Andromeda everlasting debate? Did you find what you were looking for in this new Sci-Fi odyssey? Did it disappoint? Let us know in the comment section down below! because this is exactly what we wanted to know.
