Great Capcom Games to Get This Holiday

Ah, don’t you love the holidays? There’s the false sense of Christmas cheer, the slightly creepy mall Santas, free gifts, and the holiday deals. Yes, I thank God for the Christmas deals. Sure, I love gifts, but unless they’re from a close friend who knows me well enough to actually get me what I want, I usually end up with a lion’s share of generic Christmas chocolate and hideous toe socks that can only be worn during the Christmas season. (Though I will admit that those toe socks are quite toasty…)

My attitude on the holidays is that if I’m spending money giving gifts to others, then it wouldn’t hurt to reward myself with a little something something. Capcom has the same idea in mind, with some great selections for games for the iOS platform for you to buy for yourself if your iPad or iPhone is feeling a little sparse.

Street Fighter IV: Volt is only $.99 for a limited time. It features classic 2D fighting and now, with Wi-Fi, you can play against other Street Fighter IV: Volt players across the world.

Going with more Street Fighter is Street Fighter II: Collection. It packages Street Fighter II, Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting together into one game, all for the price of $3.99. Not to mention that you can play your friends via Bluetooth.

Monster Hunter: Dynamic Hunting is $4.99 in the app store. Instead of using the unwieldy iPhone d-pad, Monster Hunter allows the Diablo-type one-click gameplay. Players can now connect with friends via Bluetooth in order to trade the goods they’ve gotten off of the monsters… that they’ve… hunted.

If for some reason, you’re more of a Halloween-type guy, even though Halloween is long over, you can get Resident Evil 4: Platinum on your iOS device. Leon is now apart of a secret mission to rescue the President’s daughter, who has been kidnapped. Along the way… zombies. Resident Evil 4 is also $4.99 currently in the app store.

If you’re in the market for some cheap, but fun games to get this Thanksgiving, what better than those four?
