Get Ready to Roll Out Again | Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark

Before you roll out for this newest Transformers game, there are a few things that you need to know about Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark.

But first, take a look at the announcement trailer. Seems almost familiar to the games that High Moon developed, does it not? Almost.

Releasing in June of this year, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will tie in with Transformers: Age of Extinction. Yes, this will be a video game based off of a movie.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will not not be developed by High Moon Studios which brought you two amazing Transformers games, War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron. However Activision and Hasbro have mentioned that Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will play similar to the two High Moon games. There are forty playable characters from both Autobot and Decepticon factions. The developer that will be taking control of this game is called Edge of Reality, which is based out of Austin, Texas with WayForward taking care of the 3DS version of the game. Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will also be releasing for the PC, PS3, PS4, XB360, XBO, and the Wii U.

Yes, this is a next generation Transformers game, sadly it is a movie tie-in and not being developed by High Moon. These two facts are enough to give any Transformer gamer reason to worry however we should hold judgement until June.
