Destiny 2 Brings 4K to Consoles with Next Update

Destiny 2

Bungie has announced that they will be bringing 4K support for PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One with their upcoming update. On December 5, both consoles will be able to experience gameplay with HDR lighting and adaptative 4K resolution. “We’ve seen a lot of questions about whether or not Destiny 2 would scale to meet the potential of new hardware”, they wrote on their website. “On this festive occasion, the answer is “Yes!””.

PC players were already enjoying this 4K support in a version that is technically amazing. Overall, these are great news for those of you who want to experience an overhauled world; or those who were debating whether to buy a new console during the Black Friday madness.

This update matches the arrival of Destiny 2‘s first DLC, Curse of Osiris, and its second season of content.

Destiny 2  Goes on a Hunt with First DLC

In September, some rumors started around the existence of a first DLC for Destiny 2. While Bungie decided to keep a low profile on this one, they went into a full-reveal mode during the PlayStation’s Paris Games Week press conference. Thanks to their announcement, we know that the Guardians are set on a hunt to find Osiris, the “notorious heretic and most powerful Warlock in the history of the Last City”.

On top of narrative bits and crazy battles, players will enjoy new locations, new weapons and gear, competitive arenas and much more. Bungie has also confirmed that there are plenty of upcoming updates on the horizon and all of them will bring improvements and feature additions to their vast universe.
