E3 2014 | LittleBigPlanet 3 Demo Shows New Inators, Characters

Amidst the Mortal Kombat and Battlefield on display at this year’s E3, Sackboy and company return to bring Play, Create, and Share to the new generation of consoles.During their E3 press conference, Sony took some time to show off LittleBigPlanet 3, which blends familiar elements of the series with new characters and gadgets. Among the new inclusions are three new characters: Oddsock, Toggle and Swoop.

Oddsock is a dog (sackdog?) that runs faster than Sackboy, and also has the ability to wall jump. Toggle can switch between two drastically different sizes with the press of a button, and is able to weigh down buttons or fit in small areas that the others couldn’t otherwise reach. The final character is Swoop, a bird with the ability to fly, and able to carry other players. Sumo Digital, the developer behind this title, confirmed that user created levels from Media Molecule’s first two games will be compatible with the third. To see the new elements in play, as well as how they work in a four player setting, check out the demo below. LittleBigPlanet 3 is expected to come exclusively to PlayStation 4 this November.

We’re on the floor at E3, and will be coming at you all week with the latest news from this years conference. Stay plugged in to The Game Fanatics.
