Curse of Osiris is Destiny 2’s First Confirmed DLC

Curse of Osiris

It all started as a sort of rumor/leak on Kotaku but now it’s official. Curse of OsirisDestiny 2‘s first DLC, is on its way and it’s taking players to Mercury.

The first reports were followed rather quickly by a listing on the Xbox Store, in which extra information can be found. As per its description, we know Curse of Osiris will continue our Guardian’s journey with “all-new story missions and adventures” set on the new planet.

Going into more concrete details, the DLC will also explore the relationship between the Warlock Osiris and his brightest student, Ikora Rey. In the original Destiny game, Mercury was a secondary location within the social hub Lighthouse. This will be the first time the planet becomes a full playable destination.

As with all other expansions, this one will come full with other features: new weapons, equipment, missions, cooperative assignments, competitive arenas and more. Last but not least, Curse of Osiris will arrive in December this year for all platforms. No concrete date has been released yet though.

Destiny 2 is Digging Up Players

Destiny 2 arrived a few days ago and since then, a great number of Guardians are joining the ranks each new passing day. Bungie provided yesterday a more concrete number on a brief tweet.

According to them, the game has hit already the 1.2 million concurrent players milestone. The number does not contemplate the total amount of players but the number of players online on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Overall, quite the feat.
