First Battlefront 2 Teaser Trailer Will Be At Star Wars Celebration

Star wars battlefront 2 title card

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will get its first look on April 15 at 2:30 PM ET/11:30 AM PT. Confirmed by the official website, Battlefront 2 will be given its own official reveal prior to E3.

EA announced Battlefront 2 back in May 2016. EA and developer DICE made changes in hopes of resolving player complaints from the first game. Many players were unhappy with the lack of content during the game’s initial launch. Battlefront shipped without a single-player campaign leaving many to wonder what could have been if the title wasn’t rushed to release in time for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. EA and DICE hope to relieve these concerns with Battlefront 2, promising the game will boast a single-player campaign.

No details have been given regarding the teaser trailer, but it would be safe to assume there will be no gameplay. A gameplay reveal is more likely during E3 in June.  EA has stated that Battlefront 2 will release holiday season 2017 and will be playable during their EA Play event during E3.

Battlefront 2 will be the first game from the Jade Raymond-led Motive Studios. Raymond is most famous for her work as producer on the Assassain’s Creed and Watch Dogs franchises. The studio also features former Portal-designer Kim Swift. In addition to Battlefront 2, Motive Studios is also working with Visceral Games on the Amy Hennig Star Wars project.

Star Wars Celebration 2017 runs from April 13-16 at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, Florida. The reveal will be part of panel called “The Galaxywide Premiere of Star Wars Battlefront II.” Anyone who is unable to view DICE’s Battlefront 2 panel live can view it over on the Star Wars Celebration website.
