XCOM Re-Reveal on the Horizon

The XCOM in development by 2K Marin was originally announced back in 2010, and revealed at E3 2011, but new details are to be revealed in a matter of days. Apparently, the title has undergone somewhat of an evolution since the original reveal in 2011. 2K Marin feels that XCOM: Enemy Unknown has reignited the turn based Firaxis series and that it is the perfect time to deliver a new kind of XCOM experience.

2K Marin has refined their vision for their iteration of an XCOM title. As a result the title has evolved into a narrative experience with high-stakes fused with concepts core to the XCOM experience. 2K has had enough time to refine their vision over the course of these past few years, giving them the chance to explore new ideas.

Within the next few days 2K Marin will reveal a lot more about their new XCOM title, and we can only assume that even more will be shown at this year’s E3 which will take place this coming June 11-13 at the LA Convention Center. Keep The Game Fanatics bookmarked to make sure you get all your XCOM news.
