XCOM: Enemy Unknown Releasing on iOS Tomorrow

The multi-award winning RTS title, XCOM: Enemy Unknown is making its way to multiple iOS devices starting this Thursday, June 20. The iOS version of XCOM will be playable on iPad mini, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and 5th-generation iPod Touches.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be selling at a steep price that not many iOS gamers are used to seeing on the App Store. For the price of $19.99 you can own the game on your iOS device. That price may however be worth it. The download will include a full version of the game playable in the palm of your hand, or hands depending on the  device.

XCOM on iOS

XCOM: Enemy Unknown will support Game Center and iCloud meaning players can take their game across multiple devices without losing a single step and picking up right where they left off. Many iOS games that are for both iPhone and iPad include both version of the game for one price, but no word yet on if that’s the case with XCOM.

There has also been confirmation that there will be no in-app purchases to slow down gameplay progression, and the full multiplayer mode many gamers are familiar with on PC will be making its way to iOS in a free update sometime later down the road.
