Xbox One Update Coming February 11th

The Xbox One will see its first major update since the day it was launched, very soon.Microsoft has just announced that on February 11th, it’ll send updates to every Xbox Live-connected Xbox One, which will bring a list of improvements to the system. While Microsoft was mum on every little detail of the update, they did highlight three big features that will be there on Feb. 11th.

The first thing is the ability to view and manage your storage space. At this point in time, Xbox One owners still have no way of seeing just how much space is left on their Xbox One hard drives, and while that may not be a big issue right now, later after better games have launched, it’ll be important to know how much data these installed games are taking up. Microsoft has also implemented a way for users to change the order of items being downloaded in your queue.

The second feature is the ability to see the remaining charge of the Xbox One controller, right on the home screen. This is big for those who want immediate battery life information. You know, because the main cause of death for these batteries is gaming.

The final feature is the ability to connect and use a keyboard with the system. This could be big. With Microsoft pushing for more apps on the system, a keyboard will allow for more possibilities as to what an Xbox One app can entail. I’d personally like to see a word-processing application on the Xbox One, like Microsoft Word or something. This could turn into a smart investment for college students.

Are you excited about any of these features? Did Microsoft get everything or some of the things you wanted? What would you like them to take care of next? Let us know in the comments.
