Xbox One Has Issue Affecting Day One Owners

So, you came home from your local Xbox One launch, after months and months of waiting. You carefully take out all of the components of the Xbox One box and set it up. You even cleaned a special spot where your old VCR was in your entertainment center just for this moment.

You hook up the Xbox One, Kinect and all, and tear into your copy of CoD Ghosts or Ryse and stick in the Blu-Ray disc. The disc slips into the sleek, new self-loading disc drive, but it doesn’t play the game. No, instead the disc goes in and makes the most ghastly popping noise that causes your heart to fracture in three places.

Has this happened to you? If yes, you’re not alone. There’s no way to see exactly how wide-spread this issue is, but a few Xbox One owners have reported that this issue has happened to them. Such an unfortunate situation to be in as an early adopter of the Xbox, but don’t let this deter you from buying an Xbox One if you were waiting. As stated, there’s no way to tell how many users are suffering from this issue, so don’t consider the PS4 just yet.

Below are a pair of users who were unfortunate enough to receive these impaired consoles. Hey, my Wii U still crashes playing CoD Ghosts, so I’d consider the Xbox One any day.
