Wolverine Changes Pace in this New Logan Trailer

Logan

Wolverine has aged and he’s on the edge. The latest trailer for Logan confirms a melancholic twist and a world sunken in chaos.

It’s going to be kind of hard to say goodbye to Wolverine. At least, to Hugh Jackman’s version of Wolverine. Logan is the last movie where the Australian actor is giving his voice and body to the Adamantium-based mutant and it seems he’s saying goodbye in style.

After watching the newest trailer, there’s no doubt melancholy and desperation are knocking into shape the argument of the film and the ultimate destiny of both Wolverine and Xavier. The movie looks way more mature and reflexive – don’t worry, there’s also action, gunfire, and claws all over the place. Overall, an interesting change of pace for one of superhero cinema’s most recognizable characters.

Logan

Logan is Hurt

Accompanied by the rusty voice of Johnny Cash, the trailer sets the story in the future year of 2024. The world is never the same as it was, says Wolverine right at the beginning. Indeed, this 2024 looks very grim for the X-Men, which seems to be extinct or out of the game. Wolverine and Professor Xavier are still kicking in the shadows, albeit in a more feeble manner, and they have problems on their own to battle. Logan’s healing abilities are fading away while Xavier’s mind is being eaten by the slow march of Alzheimer.

On top of that, we have an evil corporation lead by Nathaniel Essex spreading chaos all over the place. And amid all this sense of doom, there’s tiny figure of a young girl called Laura Kinney, whose powers seem to be extremely similar to those of Wolverine’s.

Logan is coming to cinemas worldwide on March 3, 2017.
