Wii U, my thoughts on the New Nintendo System

Everyone knows that I’m a Nintendo nut. Do I own all of the major gaming systems? You bet. Do Ilove games from Nintendo’s major competitors? Absolutely. Would I throw my other systems out the window in a loyalty hail mary should the gaming revolution ever come? Without question.

This new gaming system is beyond words for me.  The amount of different applications that it can provide, the different methods of input, the various new ways to play…amazing.  The only thing that’s of concern for me right now to be honest is that as of right now, there is a fairly good chance that only one player can use the new controller while everyone else will have to use wiimotes.  I think this is a grave mistake and that the smartest thing for them to do is what they are currently discussing, which is to let players bring their own systems wiipad to their friend’s houses.

Regardless, this system is going to be out of control cool and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.  People are saying the main reason for the problem as to wether or not it will be able to use more than one controller is because the processing power necessary to create those high definition outputs on both the tv and the controller let alone all the tech that is running back in forth between the two.  I however, have faith that Nintendo will do what’s necessary to put this thing out with more than one wiipad capable of working for them.

The other thing of note is the pricing.  Obviously, this system is going to be expensive, but the question is, how expensive.  I personally think that as long as the price for technology this forward comes in at $400 or south of that, they will be fine.  I for one will be picking it up no matter what.
