WATCH: Need For Speed Payback Gameplay Trailer | E3 2017

EA and Ghost Games have finally given us the first glimpse of gameplay for their new upcoming high stakes “action movie experience”, Need For Speed: Payback.

Along with the new gameplay trailer, Ghost Games also showed two of the three characters players will be controlling through the course of this story. A story that follows three drivers known as Tyler, Jess, and Mack on their revenge mission to take down a cartel known as House.

Need for Speed: Payback is hoping to send the series into a new era. It’s not merely just a racing game, but a cinematic action movie experience. One that will have players on the edge of their seats until the final finish line. But all this focus on the revamped story mode, doesn’t mean they’re forgetting about other gameplay features.

The way players race is also getting a revamp. Not only will you have to watch for police road blocks, but you’ll also have to worry about being taken down by hostile vehicles. The take down mechanic we were shown in the gameplay trailer is reminiscent of takedowns in Burnout Takedown 3, which is a good thing.

The way police is integrated into the game and customization will also be getting an upgrade, but to as what will be changing will be revealed as Ghost Games releases more information about the game on the official site.
