Watch: Injustice 2 Welcomes Black Canary Into the Fray With Gameplay Trailer Reveal

Black Canary Injustice 2

Black Canary is the newest hero to join the Injustice 2 fighting roster

The screeching Black Canary has made her way into the Injustice 2 universe, featuring not only her iconic scream, but a large dose of mixed martial arts, grapples, as well as counter attacks.

In addition to her reveal, character bios via the official Injustice 2 website show character up-close models for most of the revealed characters.

While we only had glimpses of Poison Ivy & Bane in the story teaser trailer, it’s nice to now have a good look at their character models for the game and a peek into where their motives lie in the Injustice universe.

As of the now the complete roster for the game stands as follows:

Batman, Braniac, Blue Beetle, Bane, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Superman, Supergirl, The Flash, Robin, Poison Ivy, Gorilla Grodd, Red Lantern Atrocitus, and Black Canary (Darkseid if you pre-order).

If you’re expecting the iconic heroes and villains in Injustice 2, Ed Boon did state via a Twitch livestream that there will be a few more obscure characters from the DC universe, not just the well-known.

Regardless, Injustice 2 will still be boasting the largest roster in NetherRealm history with additional DLC characters to come in the future after launch.

Injustice 2 is slated to release on May 16th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Multiple editions of the game hold various bonuses for players looking at their chance to play with different shaders and skins that allow you to transform fighters into alternate characters.

What do you think about Black Canary coming to the Injustice 2 universe? How do you like the character models for Bane and Poison Ivy? Let us know in the comments below!
