Use Chicago as Your Weapon – Watch_Dogs Now Available for Pre-Order

Watch_Dogs, an open world action-adventure game by Ubisoft where players take on the role of an expert hacker with an inner city background to restore justice to the streets of an Orwell-esque Chicago, is now available for pre-order.

Watch_Dogs is set in a contemporary Chicago where almost all of the city’s technology and even the most basic infrastructures are connected and controlled by an overarching network called the Central Operating System (ctOS for short). The ctOS controls all technology and information of the city’s residents, although its main function is to better the city by focusing on traffic-efficiency, eco-development, telecommunications, and crime control.

If someone were to be able to hack the ctOS, they would have access to a wealth of knowledge and control over Chicago…this is where Aiden Pearce steps in. Aiden is an ex-thug and brilliant hacker, who comes from a an inner city background where violence is met with more violence. When players step into Aiden’s shoes, they will be able to control Chicago with his expert hacking abilities by hacking almost any technology imaginable: security cameras, traffic lights, smart phones, trains, fork lifts, etc. The city is truly Aiden’s weapon. The ctOS is more corrupt than it may seem, and it is up to players to bring justice back to the streets of Chicago.

You can pre-order Watch_Dogs for the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 systems (available May 27, 2014. Wii U release date TBA).
