Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers Gets Price Point, Release Date for Nintendo Switch

You better start dusting off your classic combos because Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers is kicking its way to the Nintendo Switch on May 26th for the price of $39.99.

This “new” Street Fighter game isn’t actually new – it’s a slightly upgraded version of the original game. The additions include the option for updated graphics and voices, a questionable first person mode, and some gameplay balances.

A price point of $39.99 for a game that came out over 20 years ago is a surprising choice. Especially considering the game is being sold for $10 and $15 on PlayStation and Xbox’s online stores.

The game was first released back in arcades in 1991 under the original title of Street Fighter II.

In the years since then, the game’s developer Capcom has released a ton of different versions: Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Hyper Street Fighter II, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, and we can’t forget the upcoming Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers.
