Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution Gets Fourth Trailer; More Characters

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution may be one of the longest names in video game titles, but that doesn’t take away from how awesome this adaptation of the epic Ninja anime is shaping up to be.

To help rally around the release of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 online-playable demo today, Namco Bandai Games has released a fourth trailer and also shed light on some more characters that ended up making it into the 100-plus roster.

Harashima Senju and Madara Uchiha, two powerful arch-rivals that ended up giving birth to the Hidden Leaf Village will be included in Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution. Players can relive the battle and result of this blood-boiling rivalry through the free battles mode.

Compounded with the unveiling of this two monstrous Ninja fiends, Namco Bandai has also said that they will release a day one edition and a collectors edition of the game, and each of them will have something special for fans who go the extra mile in continuing to support the franchise.

The Rivals and Samurai (Day one and Collectors edition respectively) will include a special DVD Naruto Shippuden episode, “Sunny Side Battle.” In this episode, Itachi Uchiha gets in touch with his inner cooking side and there are also some epic battles to be seen in this DVD episode as well.

The trailer also gives us a good insight of how much content is included in Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution. Players can traverse through a marathon of memory-lane esque adventures through the Naruto and Naruto Shippuden chapters in the story mode. They can also compete in a fatal four way matches as they climb the ranks in the Ninja World Tournament.

The fighting mechanics have also been given a huge makeover with the inclusion of three different team types that players can choose from. The Drive Type can allow for canceling out your opponents Awakening and Ultimate Jutsu attacks. In Awakening Type, Ninjas who unleash their True Awakening will be given ginormous, Godlike power that is guaranteed to crush foes. Finally, the Ultimate Jutsu Type helps combine your team member’s powers for one spectacular knock out blow.

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC is set to hit store shelves Sept. 12. The demo for the game can be downloaded today and it’s online feature will be playable until July 3rd.
