Ubisoft’s Pipeline for Next Year Looks Busy, New Blockbuster Included

In preparation for the new fiscal year, Ubisoft confirms a big catwalk of titles that will arrive before March 2017. This includes a fresh AAA IP who could be teased in E3, according to their last financial report.

It’s been not a bad year so far for Ubisoft. The Division and Far Cry Primal are performing extremely well and are granting the studio a sizable revenue stream since February. But, it seems, they are already operating full-on within the new fiscal year, which started on April 1.

It has been confirmed that Assassin’s Creed is not getting a new title and that this position will be filled by a new IP that promises to be a blockbuster. Nothing has officially been detailed so far but we can venture that Watch Dogs 2 will probably help clearing that void while we wait for more bites and pieces of what is yet to come. They got us curious with the announcement though, that’s for sure.

Whether the studio will be able to keep pace and deliver in time in the upcoming months, that’s another story. We also know that Ubisoft relies in the E3 tradeshow in order to tease and to confirm their aces up the sleeve – so a mention about this new IP next month seems a possibility.

The Other Titles in Ubisoft’s Pipeline

Apart from that mysterious title, the French studio is pushing hard for a number of varied games to satisfy different demands. Ghost Recon Wildlands and Watch Dogs 2 are clearly the heavy open-world candidates while South Path: The Fractured but Whole will delve in RPG elements, bringing back all that humor so dear to us. And if hack and slash is what you are after, then you know that For Honor will allow you to play your own “Art of Battle” with a medieval knight, a samurai or a viking.

There is yet no single release date for any of those – except the confirmation that they will be dropping one by one before March 31, 2017. Which one would you like to play first?
